ENGIE acquires Aguaytía-Pucallpa transmission line in Peru

ENGIE Transmisión Perú has completed the 100% acquisition of Terna Perú, the owner of the Aguaytía-Pucallpa 138 kV transmission line. The transaction, valued at approximately US$15 million, was conducted with Italian firms Terna Plus S. r. l. and Rete S. r. l.

The 132 km transmission line was originally awarded by ProInversión in 2017 under a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) contract. It has been operational since May 2021 and maintains a concession through 2051.

With this acquisition, ENGIE expands its footprint in Peru to 608 km of operational transmission lines and approximately 600 km currently in development. This follows recent successes in securing projects for transmission lines in regions including Piura, Lambayeque, Junín, Ayacucho, Áncash, and Ucayali.
