Engine Failure Forces Evacuation of Moventis Coach on Mallorca Highway

A Moventis coach traveling north on the Andratx‑Palma highway near Bendinat suffered an engine failure that produced heavy smoke. The driver stopped the vehicle on the shoulder and the 50 passengers on board were safely evacuated and transferred to another bus to continue to Ciutat. Emergency crews from Mallorca and Palma fire stations, as well as traffic police, responded to the incident. After confirming there was no fire, the services left the scene and a large crane removed the disabled coach from the roadway.

The incident occurred around midday on a Friday and caused temporary disruption to traffic on the highway while the vehicle was cleared.
