Engineers India secures $450 million Dangote Group deal in Kenya

Engineers India Limited (EIL) has reported record financial results for FY26, achieving a turnover of ₹3,849 crore and an all-time high net profit of ₹638 crore. The company’s operating margin rose to 16.22% from 14.76% in the previous year. EIL concluded the fiscal year with an order book of ₹15,109 crore, which has since grown to approximately ₹17,000 crore.

In a significant international development, EIL secured a contract valued at over $450 million (approximately ₹4,300 crore) with the Dangote Group. Under this agreement, EIL will serve as the Project Management and EPCM consultant for a new greenfield refinery and petrochemical plant in Kenya. The facility is expected to have a processing capacity of 700,000 barrels of crude per day.

This partnership follows previous collaboration between the two entities on a refinery project in Nigeria. Moving forward, EIL is pursuing a diversification strategy to expand beyond its traditional oil and gas core into sectors including metals, nuclear energy, infrastructure, data centers, fertilizers, and maritime projects.
