England clinches ODI series win over India at Lord's

England secured a 2‑1 series victory against India in the third One Day International at Lord's on 19 July, posting a record total of 387/3. Openers Ben Duckett (141) and Jacob Bethell (91) forged a 192‑run opening partnership, the highest ever at the venue. Joe Root added 74* and Jos Buttler contributed a quick 41* in the death overs.

India’s chase was anchored by Rohit Sharma’s 138 and Shubman Gill’s 77, but a late middle‑order collapse saw them fall short at 360/7, handing England a 27‑run win. Sam Curran led the bowling attack with four wickets, while Jofra Archer also took a key wicket.

The win gave England the series 2‑1, denying Rohit Sharma a successful chase despite his century, and setting a new highest ODI total at Lord's.
