England Lions announce squad for T20 series against Sri Lanka

The England Lions have announced a 20-player squad for an upcoming two-match T20 series against Sri Lanka. Essex all-rounder Paul Walter has earned his first call-up to the squad for this series.

The matches are scheduled to take place at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground on Friday, 11 September, and the County Ground in Beckenham on Sunday, 13 September. The series serves as a development platform for emerging talent, allowing England players to prepare for upcoming white-ball commitments against Sri Lanka while providing a testing ground for players on the fringes of full international selection.

Jonathan Trott will serve as Head Coach, supported by a coaching staff including Troy Cooley, Graeme Swann, Carl Hopkinson, and Ravi Bopara. The squad includes players such as Tom Banton, Will Jacks, and Saqib Mahmood.
