England names squad for ODI tri-series in Pakistan

England has announced a 16-man squad for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) tri-series in Pakistan, which will also feature Sri Lanka. The squad, captained by Harry Brook, includes several notable absences due to injury and workload management.

Jos Buttler has been ruled out of the series following a hamstring injury sustained during a recent match against Sri Lanka. Additionally, Jofra Archer has been rested to manage his workload after an intensive summer of international cricket.

On a positive note, Adil Rashid and Sam Curran have returned to the squad after recovering from hand and groin injuries, respectively. The selection also features the recall of Glamorgan leg-spinner Mason Crane, marking his first international appearance since 2018, following a strong domestic season. Other inclusions include Sonny Baker and Henry Crocombe.

The tri-series will be held in Rawalpindi and Lahore, with the final scheduled to take place at Gaddafi Stadium on October 31.
