England rugby's Ben Earl urges Nations Championship format overhaul
England rugby number 8 Ben Earl said the Nations Championship schedule has been "brutal" after the team played three Tests on three continents in successive weekends, covering about 25,000 miles of travel. He explained that four long‑haul and four short‑haul flights in four weeks have disrupted sleep and reduced training time.
Earl called for the competition to be held in a single nation to give players a "festival feel" and avoid constant travelling. A victory over Argentina kept Steve Borthwick’s side in contention for the final on 29 November at Twickenham's Allianz Stadium, with the next match against Australia scheduled for 8 November.
