England's Nat Sciver-Brunt Plans Return to Bowling After Calf Injury

England women's cricket captain Nat Sciver‑Brunt is working to regain her bowling after a torn left calf suffered in April 2026 while playing for The Blaze. The injury forced her out of the white‑ball series against New Zealand and India and caused her to miss three group‑stage matches at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, limiting her to a specialist batting role.

Now featuring for the Trent Rockets in The Hundred, Sciver‑Brunt delivered a match‑winning 37* off 23 balls against Welsh Fire and remains committed to a rehabilitation programme that may see her miss England’s three‑match ODI series against Ireland in September. She is collaborating with the England sports‑science and medicine team and head coach Charlotte Edwards to ensure a full return to all‑round duties.
