England's New Coast Path Opens as London Named Top European Tourist City

In March 2026, King Charles III officially inaugurated the King Charles III England Coast Path, a 4,328‑kilometre trail that runs the length of England's coastline, becoming the longest managed coastal route in the world. The opening is expected to boost tourism by connecting coastal villages, historic sites and high‑end hospitality across regions such as Cornwall, Yorkshire, the Lake District and Dover.

Separately, a recent analysis by eSIM provider Holafly ranked London as the most welcoming European city for visitors, placing it second globally after Singapore. The ranking considered safety, visa ease, tourism services and English proficiency, also noting Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Prague and other cities among the continent's top destinations.
