Enki expands smart home energy rewards for heating and water heaters

Enki, the smart home solution from Leroy Merlin, is expanding its energy management capabilities to help users reduce electricity bills and earn money through its ‘Bonus Énergie’ program.

The program allows users to participate in grid flexibility by temporarily reducing the consumption of compatible devices during periods of high demand. While the bonus previously applied to electric radiators—offering up to €15 per device annually—it has now been extended to electric water heaters, which can earn users up to €40 per year.

By coordinating the reduction of consumption in short 15-minute intervals, the system aims to relieve pressure on the electrical grid. A household with four compatible radiators and one water heater could potentially earn up to €100 per year. Additionally, Enki is introducing a new module priced under €30 to make existing radiators compatible with their smart system.
