ĠENN and Aidan Moffat release new single ‘Jaguar Sun’

The Anglo-Maltese quartet ĠENN has released a new six-minute single titled ‘Jaguar Sun’ in collaboration with Aidan Moffat of Arab Strap. Released via Rock Action Records, the track is available digitally and on 12” vinyl.

The song features a vocal contrast between Leona Farrugia’s range, moving from whispers to expansive vocals, and Moffat’s characteristic textured, spoken delivery. Lyrically, the track explores themes of free will and the concept of a ‘block universe’ where past, present, and future coexist. The title is inspired by Italo Calvino’s unfinished project, ‘Under the Jaguar Sun’.

Produced alongside Johnny Hostile, Johnny Breakwell, and Tom Hill, the single follows ĠENN’s previous works ‘unum’ and ‘Reverberations’. The band is scheduled to tour mainland Europe in October, followed by UK dates in November including London, Leeds, and Brighton.
