Enna reorganizes EcoEnnaServizi following due diligence report

The municipality of Enna has initiated a reorganization of EcoEnnaServizi, the in-house company managing urban hygiene services, following a due diligence report. While the report describes the management as “formally regular” and does not indicate an immediate risk to business continuity, it highlighted critical issues regarding 2026 budget projections, personnel costs, and long-term planning.

Mayor Mirello Crisafulli announced the replacement of the sole administrator, Santo Castagna, with Giuseppe Seminara. This move has drawn sharp criticism from the political movement Futuro Nazionale Enna. Representative Carmelo Mirisciotti characterized the appointment as a “political restoration,” noting that Seminara also serves as a local secretary for the Democratic Party.

Futuro Nazionale further contested the administration's characterization of a €216,000 budget discrepancy, arguing it is a forecasting estimate rather than a structural deficit. The municipality plans to implement an industrial plan and is considering a governance revision that could establish a board of directors representing both the majority and the opposition.
