Enna begins centenary celebrations with inaugural concert

The city of Enna is launching celebrations for the centenary of the Province of Enna, which was established in 1926. The commemorative program will run from late September through December 6, 2026.

To inaugurate the festivities, a free public concert will be held on Tuesday, September 29, at 8:00 PM in Piazza Garibaldi. The event will feature the musical band of the ANPS (Associazione Nazionale Polizia di Stato), consisting of approximately 80 members and directed by Maestro Carmelo Capizzi. The performance will also include soloists tenor Alberto Profeta and soprano Carmen Maggiore.

Piero Capizzi, President of the Libero Consorzio, stated that the centenary serves as an opportunity to value the historical, cultural, and identity heritage of the province's twenty municipalities. The initiative aims to foster collective memory and community cohesion while looking toward the future of the territory.
