Enna Calcio faces potential withdrawal after rejected takeover offer

The future of the Italian football club Enna Calcio remains uncertain as President Giancarlo Travagin has rejected a takeover offer from an anonymous group. Travagin described the proposal, which offered 40,000 euros to acquire the club and its debts, as ‘ridiculous,’ noting that such an amount is insufficient to purchase even a lower-tier team.

The club faces significant financial and logistical hurdles, including a lack of sponsors, zero revenue from season tickets, and the unavailability of the Gaeta stadium. While lighting installations are expected soon, the stadium may not be ready for use until December. Due to these mounting pressures, Travagin stated that withdrawing the team from the championship is a possible course of action to maintain dignity, though he remains open to serious acquisition proposals from identifiable parties.
