Enna hosts Biblioinsieme cultural and library initiative

The Biblioinsieme project recently held a three-day event in Enna, Italy, focused on theater, reading, and the evolving role of libraries as centers for community participation and collective growth.

Promoted by the Enna Committee of the Società Dante Alighieri in collaboration with the municipalities of Enna, Aidone, Calascibetta, and Villarosa, the initiative received support from Fondazione con il Sud and the Ministry of Culture’s Center for Books and Reading. The program, held from October 23 to 26, engaged students, citizens, administrators, and cultural operators.

The event opened with the play ‘Cammelli a Barbiana. Don Lorenzo Milani e la sua scuola’ by Francesco Niccolini and Luigi D’Elia. Due to the last-minute unavailability of Teatro Neglia, the performance was moved to Sala Cerere at Palazzo Chiaramonte. While the play provided educational insights into the life of Don Lorenzo Milani, the change in venue prevented the participation of the local Liceo artistico.
