Enna hosts conference on trauma and psychotraumatology

The “La mente tra le nuvole 2026” conference is scheduled to take place at the Auditorium Vittorio Guidano in Enna, Italy. The event focuses on the theme of trauma and psychotraumatology, exploring approaches ranging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to integrated and complex methods.

Key participants include Ukrainian psychotherapist Valentyna Parobii, who will join via web link from Ukraine to discuss the psychological consequences of war and the resilience of populations living through conflict. The scientific direction is led by Professor Tullio Scrimali, with scientific coordination by Dr. Sibilla Giangreco.

The conference will highlight specific treatment protocols for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) developed through clinical research at the Aleteia system in Enna. These include the “Xenia” protocol, designed to assist migrants from North Africa in processing trauma from sea crossings and aiding social integration, and the more recent “Archiloco” protocol.
