Enna launches volunteer project for seniors over 65

The So. Le di Enna social cooperative has launched a project in Sicily aimed at involving 10 residents over the age of 65 in volunteer activities. Funded by the Sicilian Region, the initiative seeks to combat loneliness and depopulation in small centers by promoting socialization and community participation.

Participants will undergo training in areas such as digital technology use, healthy lifestyles, and volunteering best practices. Following their orientation, volunteers will support various local entities, including the Mare Sol consortium’s mental disability aggregation center, where they will assist in artistic craft workshops, as well as organizations like Avis and local sports centers.
