Enner Valencia joins Boca Juniors on contract through 2027

Ecuadorian striker Enner Valencia has officially joined Boca Juniors, signing a contract that runs until December 31, 2027. The 36-year-old forward arrived as a free agent following his tenure with Pachuca in Mexico.

The transfer was finalized through direct negotiations between Boca Juniors president Juan Román Riquelme and Valencia’s agency, Sport Capital. Valencia expressed his enthusiasm for the move, stating, “I am very happy to be here... my family is also very happy.”

Head coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena is implementing a gradual physical and technical conditioning plan to prepare the veteran striker for competition. Due to his recent lack of official match play and the need for adaptation, Valencia was not included in the squad for the Copa Sudamericana match against Recoleta. His potential debut is expected to occur in upcoming fixtures, possibly against Platense or in the return leg of the Sudamericana tournament, depending on his physical readiness.
