Enner Valencia signs with Boca Juniors until 2027

Boca Juniors has officially announced the signing of Ecuadorian striker Enner Valencia. The 36-year-old forward has signed a contract that will keep him with the Argentine club until December 31, 2027.

Valencia arrives as a free agent from Pachuca of Mexico, where he scored eight goals in 22 matches last season. He is the all-time leading scorer for the Ecuador national team with 49 goals and has a distinguished career that includes stints at West Ham United, Everton, Fenerbahçe, and Internacional.

The signing was motivated by the need for a central striker following an injury to Adam Bareiro. Valencia expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I'm very excited and I hope to do things well. I want to tell the Boca fans that I will give everything of myself to achieve championships."

Having already completed medical examinations and his first training session, Valencia could potentially debut as early as Tuesday in a Copa Sudamericana match against Recoleta.
