Turkish regional business leaders announce election platforms

Various candidates for regional chambers of commerce and commodity exchanges in Turkey have announced their platforms and development projects ahead of upcoming elections.

In Elazığ, Şenol Arslan, candidate for the Elazığ Commodity Exchange, has proposed a roadmap focused on production and investment. Key projects include the establishment of a Food Production and Analysis Laboratory Center and modern silo and licensed warehouse facilities to support agricultural storage and quality control. Additionally, candidate Öner has proposed transforming Elazığ into a health technology hub through a specialized organized industrial zone involving R&D campuses and biotechnology production.

In Erzurum, Lütfü Yücelik, candidate for the Erzurum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ETSO), emphasized the need for a “mindset revolution” to support local manufacturers and SMEs. His priorities include digital transformation, export support, and university-industry cooperation.

Other regional candidates include Faik Müftüler for the Denizli Chamber of Commerce, focusing on new management cultures; Zahit Beyazıt for the Akhisar Commodity Exchange, targeting olive and olive oil branding; and Mehmet Tuncer for the Aydın Chamber of Industry, who advocates for green transformation and AI-supported production.
