Enola Holmes 3 draws 21 million Netflix views, spurs talk of a fourth film

Netflix’s third Enola Holmes movie, released on July 1, 2026, topped the platform’s English‑language movie chart with 20.7 million views in its first week (June 29‑July 5). The film outperformed other Netflix releases, including “Voicemails for Isabelle” (13.3 million views) and “Little Brother” (12.7 million views).

Critical response was mixed: Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a 68 % fresh rating, audience scores were about 51 %, and IMDb listed it at 5.8/10. Despite the lukewarm reviews, the franchise’s strong fan base kept viewership high, as shown by reports from Brazil, Italy, France and other markets.

The film’s plot follows Enola (Millie Bobby Brown) as her wedding in Malta is interrupted by the kidnapping of her brother Sherlock (Henry Cavill). Interviews with Brown, writer Jack Thorne and Cavill have suggested that the storyline and the still‑available source material from Nancy Springer’s ten‑book series leave room for a possible Enola Holmes 4, though Netflix has not confirmed a sequel.
