Enosa inspects hospital generators in Piura amid El Niño contingency

Enosa is conducting inspections of generator sets and essential electrical supplies as part of a contingency plan for the El Niño phenomenon (FEN). In coordination with the Regional Health Directorate (Diresa), technical teams have reviewed backup systems and installations at the Hospital de la Amistad Perú Corea Santa Rosa and ten other health centers across Piura, Veintiséis de Octubre, Castilla, Catacaos, La Arena, and La Unión.

Inspections at Hospital Santa Rosa focused on two generator sets, the vaccine cold chain, the oxygen plant, and specialized areas such as tomography and ophthalmology. The technical reviews also included automatic transfer systems (STA) designed to activate backup equipment during power interruptions and restore grid connection once service is normalized.
