ENOSA modernizes Piura Centro Substation to benefit 170,000 residents

Grupo Distriluz has inaugurated the remodeling of the Piura Centro Power Substation, an investment aimed at strengthening the reliability and security of the electrical supply for more than 170,000 residents in Piura.

The renovation involved replacing strategic high and medium voltage equipment with modern technology, including new distribution cells integrated into ENOSA's supervision and control system. This upgrade allows for permanent operational monitoring and faster responses to contingencies. The project also included improvements to civil infrastructure and operating systems to better manage growing demand and potential regional weather phenomena.

In addition to the modernization efforts, officials discussed preventive actions being implemented in the Piura and Tumbes regions, as well as a contingency plan developed to address potential impacts from the El Niño phenomenon.
