ENOSA provides recycled cable reels for school reading space in Piura

Students at the I. E. 20138 Karol Jozef Wojtyla school in Veintiséis de Octubre, Piura, have implemented an outdoor reading space using repurposed electrical cable reels. The initiative, titled ‘Bajo la sombra de un árbol, los niños leen e imaginan’ (Under the shade of a tree, children read and imagine), was developed as part of a learning unit focused on recycling and material reuse.

School director Angelita Visueta Lozada stated that the school requested the large reels from ENOSA, a company that utilizes them for electrical cabling, to convert them into reading tables. The new furniture is located under trees to provide students with an environment outside the traditional classroom to read, share stories, and foster imagination through practical application of recycling concepts.
