Enraciné celebrates five years of nature education on Côte-Nord
Julie Bérubé, founder of the nature-based education company Enraciné, is marking five years of operation on Quebec’s Côte-Nord region. Based in Baie-Comeau, the nomadic enterprise provides educational activities and professional training within various natural settings, including the Parc des Pionniers, Parc Nature de Pointe-aux-Outardes, and forest areas in Manicouagan.
Bérubé, a former primary school teacher, designed the program to offer a more immersive and territory-anchored learning experience. She notes that nature-based learning positively impacts all spheres of child development, including autonomy, problem-solving, communication, creativity, and motor skills. As one of the few individuals in the region holding a specialized certification in nature eco-education, Bérubé works with schools, daycare centers, and childcare services.
