Enrico Ceruolo seeks medical aid after Lyme disease diagnosis
Enrico Ceruolo, a 25-year-old resident of Ariano Irpino, has been using a wheelchair for six years following a severe neurological condition caused by Lyme disease. The illness originated from a tick bite sustained during a walk when he was 19.
His family has identified a specialized rehabilitation center in the United States that offers potential therapeutic opportunities not available in Italy. Due to the high costs of travel and medical treatment, a fundraising campaign has been launched in Ariano Irpino to support his journey and attempt to regain mobility.
