Enrico Pucci sentenced for using Tesla app to harass ex-partner

Enrico Pucci, a 50-year-old businessman, has been sentenced to prison following his conviction on 30 domestic violence-related charges in Australia. The charges included stalking, assault, choking, financial deception, and coercive control.

Pucci utilized the Tesla mobile application to remotely manipulate his former partner's vehicle. According to court documents and victim testimony, he used the app to track her movements, alter climate control settings between extreme temperatures, and activate ‘Valet Mode’ to unexpectedly reduce the car's speed to 40 km/h while she was driving. He also installed a parental control profile to restrict her access to the vehicle's functions.

Victim Narghiza Ergashova described a pattern of extreme gaslighting and physical abuse, noting that Pucci also engaged in financial coercion and professional sabotage. Pucci is among the first individuals to receive a prison sentence for coercive control, a criminal offense introduced in Australia in July 2024. He was also issued a five-year apprehended violence order.
