Enrique Galindo rejects PVEM alliance, remains open to Morena

Enrique Galindo Ceballos, the mayor of San Luis Potosí, has expressed a willingness to engage in political dialogue with the Morena party regarding future political scenarios leading up to 2027. However, he explicitly stated that he would not enter into negotiations or alliances with the Green Ecological Party of Mexico (PVEM).

Galindo addressed recent comments from PRI national president Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas, who suggested that an alliance with Morena would be unwise while leaving the door open for cooperation with the PVEM. While Galindo noted he respects Moreno’s position, he clarified that his personal stance as a political actor is to view the PVEM as a political opponent rather than a potential partner. He emphasized that while no formal negotiations are currently underway, he remains open to discussions with Morena if approached.
