Enrique Nieto expected to become Mexican Football Federation VP
Reports indicate a significant leadership restructuring is underway within the Mexican Football Federation (FMF). Enrique Nieto, currently serving as Deputy General Secretary, is expected to become the new Vice President of National Teams, replacing Ivar Sisniega.
Nieto has a long history within the organization, having held various roles since 2011, including Director of International Operations and Director of Strategic Alliances. In his new capacity, he would oversee key figures such as Rafael Márquez and Duilio Davino for the senior national team, and Andrés Lilini for the youth teams.
The potential departure of Ivar Sisniega reportedly stems from friction within the organization's leadership. Some reports suggest that Sisniega is no longer part of the plans for the new organizational structure, which is expected to be led by Mikel Arriola.
