Enrique Ochoa Antich appointed Venezuelan ambassador to Switzerland

Venezuela’s National Assembly has approved the appointment of Enrique Ochoa Antich as the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Switzerland. He will also hold concurrent accreditation to the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Ochoa Antich is a veteran politician and founding member of the Movement toward Socialism (MAS). His political career includes serving as a deputy in the former Congress and holding leadership roles within the Un Nuevo Tiempo (UNT) party and the Democratic Unity Roundtable (MUD) platform.

The appointment marks a notable inclusion of an opposition figure within the Venezuelan foreign service. This move follows recent shifts in Venezuela’s diplomatic landscape and efforts to manage international relations.
