Enrique Riquelme receives 2026 Ibero-American Impact Award

Enrique Riquelme, CEO of Cox, has been awarded the 2026 Ibero-American Impact Award at the Ibero-American Impact Summit. The ceremony took place in New York during the 81st United Nations General Assembly, organized by the PVBLIC Foundation.

Riquelme was recognized for his business leadership and contributions to the energy transition, sustainable development, and progress in Ibero-America. During his address, he advocated for a human-centered energy transition, stating that “talking about a just energy transition is actually talking about human development.” He emphasized that technological shifts must provide access to essential services, qualified employment, and opportunities for youth.

Furthermore, Riquelme called for Europe and Latin America to act as strategic partners rather than mere markets or suppliers, focusing on trust and knowledge transfer. He also highlighted the importance of public-private alliances to accelerate critical infrastructure, noting that infrastructure serves as a tool for social cohesion and economic stability.
