Enrique Rodríguez ‘Guzpeña’ wins Pozuelo de Alarcón painting prize

Enrique Rodríguez, known as ‘Guzpeña’, has won first prize in the painting competition organized by the Pozuelo de Alarcón City Council in Madrid. His winning work, titled ‘Aperos’, is an acrylic on canvas measuring 146x146 cm and belongs to his ‘Recordanza’ series.

The jury described the piece as a synthesis of the artist's established plastic language, blending avant-garde influences, surrealist echoes, and metaphysical spaces. The award-winning and selected works will be exhibited at the Centro Cultural MIRA in Pozuelo de Alarcón from September 17 to October 11, 2026.
