Enschede neighbor dispute leads to stabbing and court hearing

A 25-year-old man, identified as M., remains in custody following a violent stabbing incident in Enschede that occurred in July. The attack took place at Het Oosterveld after a dispute regarding a ladder placed in a neighbor's front yard.

During the confrontation, the 47-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times in the torso and sustained a broken jaw. The incident is described as the violent peak of a long-standing feud between the two neighbors. The case is scheduled for a substantive hearing in the Almelose court in mid-December, during which the defense has requested that the suspect be allowed to await trial in freedom.
