Ensenada hosts inaugural Barbie Run 2026 themed race

The first edition of the Barbie Run 2026 took place in Ensenada, Mexico, on September 20, 2026. Approximately 2,000 participants joined the themed event, which featured 3, 5, and 10-kilometer races along the coastal boulevard and Playa Hermosa.

Organized by Asdeporte, the race is part of a seven-city national circuit. Ensenada Mayor Claudia Agatón led the start of the event and participated in the 3-kilometer route. Officials noted that the event aims to promote physical activity, support local tourism, and generate economic impact for the municipality.

Key winners included Selene Yadira in the women's 5km, Mario Eduardo in the men's 5km, Alejandra Pérez in the women's 10km, and Gabriel Ríos Hernández in the men's 10km. Medals were presented by the Mayor and María Jesús Trujillo Hernández, Director of the Municipal Institute of Sport and Recreation.
