A dispute between a tourist and a street vendor in Playa Hermosa, Ensenada, has sparked controversy on social media after a video surfaced showing an alleged overcharge for fruit.

The tourist reported being asked for 500 pesos for a prepared mango and prickly pears. According to the visitor, the price was only disclosed after the fruit had already been sliced. While the vendor eventually offered to reduce the price to 450 pesos, the tourist felt compelled to pay because the product was already prepared.

The vendor defended the transaction, claiming the charge was legal and included the preparation of the dish. The incident has reignited online debates regarding the pricing of goods and services for visitors in high-traffic tourist areas of Baja California.
