Enslaved announces new studio album Mið

Norwegian progressive black metal band Enslaved has announced their upcoming studio album, titled ‘Mið’, scheduled for release on October 30 via Nuclear Blast Records. The album explores themes of the axis, origins, and the present moment.

In conjunction with the announcement, the band released a new single and music video titled ‘Solar Will’, produced by Kolibri Media. Guitarist Ivar Bjørnson described the track as a celebration of the sun’s dual nature as both a life-giver and a destroyer, utilizing heavy riffs and melodic elements.

Vocalist and bassist Grutle Kjellson noted that ‘Solar Will’ delves into archetypal conflicts found in nature, the cosmos, and Norse mythology, specifically focusing on a rivalry between two figures within the pantheon to explore the human psyche.
