Enslaved to release seventeenth album Mið in October 2026

Norwegian progressive black metal band Enslaved has announced the release of their seventeenth studio album, titled Mið. Scheduled for release on October 30, 2026, via Nuclear Blast, the 44-minute record follows previous works such as Utgard and Heimdal.

Mið is described as an evolution of the band’s sound, blending their signature progressive textures and blackened depth with new influences. The album features a more organic composition style, with much of the material arranged in the studio. While maintaining the band’s characteristic clean and harsh vocal interplay and atmospheric depth, the new material leans into more ritualistic, meditative, and primal elements, utilizing direct riffs and grounded structures.

The album also incorporates guest appearances that contribute individual touches to specific tracks and explores musical styles previously unexamined by the band.
