ENTEL announces infrastructure investment and increased social funding
ENTEL S.A. has announced a budget of USD 10.4 million for 2026 to strengthen technological infrastructure, expand network capacity, and enhance services in the Oruro department of Bolivia. The company is currently providing fiber optic internet to 46,000 families in the region and maintains mobile coverage in 95% of the department's most populated areas, serving approximately 540,000 customers.
Additionally, the state-owned telecommunications company has increased its contribution to the Juancito Pinto Bonus for 2026. The funding has risen from Bs 65 million to Bs 150 million, representing a 150% increase compared to the previous year. This boost is attributed to the company's commercial and financial performance during 2026, intended to support primary and secondary students in public and subsidized schools across Bolivia.
