Bolivia advances national cybersecurity agenda and digital safety
Bolivia is advancing a national cybersecurity agenda through the ‘Bolivia Cibersegura 2026’ project. ENTEL, in collaboration with the Electronic Government and Information and Communication Technologies Agency (AGETIC) and the Telecommunications and Transport Regulation and Supervision Authority (ATT), is working to strengthen the CSIRT Bolivia. This specialized team aims to improve national capacities for the prevention, detection, response, and recovery from cyber threats.
Jorge Francisco del Solar, general manager of ENTEL, emphasized that cybersecurity must be treated as a national agenda through institutional cooperation. The initiative involves experts from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to provide training and exchange experiences to protect critical infrastructure and personal data.
In a separate social initiative, ENTEL has joined the UNICEF Bolivia Teletón 2026. This partnership aims to support vulnerable children through projects in education, health, and nutrition, while also promoting digital inclusion and safe virtual environments for youth.
