Entel launches initiative to digitalize 370,000 seniors by 2030
Entel has launched a collaborative ecosystem aimed at digitalizing 370,000 older adults by 2030. This initiative is part of the company’s sustainability strategy to address the digital gap among the elderly.
In Chile, while internet access exceeds 90% for the general population, daily usage drops to 74.4% for those over 60. To combat this, Entel is utilizing its ‘Fondo 55+’ program. In its second iteration, the fund allocated 360 million pesos in partnership with Banco Falabella to support high-impact solutions.
The company is fostering a collaborative network involving NGOs, municipalities, universities, startups, and private sector partners such as Caja Los Héroes and Red Salud to scale these efforts and ensure technology serves as a tool for autonomy and well-being for seniors.
