Entel leads Chile telecom sector in sustainability ranking

Entel was placed first in the Brinca‑UAI 2026 Business Sustainability Ranking for the telecom industry, based on an analysis of 64 ESG indicators drawn from companies’ official reports. The award recognises the firm’s balanced performance across environmental, social and governance dimensions and marks the second time Entel has topped the ranking, after a previous win in 2024.

The company attributes its success to the "Conciencia en Todas" commitment, which drives initiatives such as digital‑inclusion programs for seniors in remote areas, the $360 million second‑edition Fondo 55+ fund, emergency‑response operations through its COE truck, and a travelling recycling‑and‑reuse fleet that collects obsolete electronic devices. Sustainability manager Francisca Florenzano said, "Recibir este reconocimiento nos llena de orgullo y demuestra que vamos por el camino correcto.
