Enter Air expands to Romania amid local airline insolvencies
Polish charter airline Enter Air is officially entering the Romanian market by establishing a local branch. The expansion comes as the Romanian aviation industry faces challenges, following recent insolvency filings by two significant charter operators. Enter Air, a Warsaw Stock Exchange listed company specializing in charter and ACMI services, operates a Boeing 737 fleet serving destinations in the Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Separately, the airline DAN AIR has filed for insolvency, alleging that financial difficulties were caused by the payment processor Netopia and pressure from the George Enescu International Airport in Bacău. The airport responded by stating it took measures to protect its financial interests, noting that DAN AIR owes over 1.3 million lei in outstanding payments. The airport has initiated insolvency proceedings to recover these debts.
