Enter Shikari releases new single ‘Higher Ground’ amid hiatus announcement

Enter Shikari has released a new single titled ‘Higher Ground’ without prior announcement. The track, which was written during the sessions for their April album ‘Lose Your Self’ but completed over the summer, focuses on the importance of gaining perspective on broad human issues.

The release comes amid news that the band plans to take an indefinite hiatus starting at the end of 2027, citing reasons including health concerns. The band noted on Instagram that this break could lead to either an explosive comeback or a permanent end.

To prepare for their upcoming arena tour, the group has scheduled intimate warm-up shows in Oxford and Leicester, which are already sold out. The larger tour will begin in Europe on November 3 in Hamburg, followed by dates in Munich, Leipzig, Düsseldorf, and Berlin, before moving to the UK on November 13 starting in Nottingham.
