Enterprise CRM Alternatives and AI‑Driven Customer Intent Insights
Several vendors are positioning themselves as alternatives to traditional enterprise CRM systems by adding automation layers for RevOps teams. One solution, called Default, sits atop existing CRMs such as Salesforce or HubSpot and automates lead routing, enrichment, deduplication and cross‑system workflows, aiming to reduce manual maintenance and improve execution speed. It targets organizations that have mature GTM processes but struggle with brittle CRM logic, especially those handling inbound, outbound, PLG or territory‑based routing.
At the same time, experts note that conventional CRMs miss important conversational signals that indicate customer intent. Analysts cite a shift toward an “intelligence layer” that uses AI to analyze call recordings, detect emotions and track engagement trends. This layer can surface warnings of churn or opportunities for upsell that are not captured in standard fields, and Gartner forecasts widespread adoption of task‑specific AI agents in enterprise applications by 2026.
