Enterprise Linux Distributions Issue Major 2026 Security Updates

Tenable Core 2026 release notes list a large set of Oracle Linux 8 security advisories, including important updates for the kernel, openssh, sudo, python3, java‑21‑openjdk and many other core libraries. The release also contains bug‑fix updates for cloud‑init, systemd and related tools.

Red Hat Product Security has published a series of RHSA‑2026 advisories that provide critical patches for Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 8, 9 and 10, as well as for Satellite, Ansible Automation Platform and other associated components. The updates address vulnerabilities in sssd, glib2, httpd, kernel, dovecot, pacemaker and several other packages, each rated as Important or Moderate according to CVSS scores.
