Enterprises address AI costs and security through hybrid solutions

Companies are increasingly adopting agentic AI, which can plan and execute tasks autonomously. However, this shift brings significant challenges regarding rising token costs and heightened security risks, such as indirect prompt injection attacks.

To mitigate these issues, Dell Technologies is promoting a ‘deskside agentic AI’ approach as part of its hybrid AI strategy. By processing repetitive reasoning tasks on high-performance workstations rather than in the cloud, Dell claims businesses can reduce AI usage costs by up to 87% over two years. This method also helps protect sensitive data by keeping it local.

In a similar move toward AI cost management, Bespin Global is expanding its ‘FinPlex’ platform to include AI workloads. The platform aims to provide visibility and control over GPU and LLM token costs across multi-cloud environments. Bespin Global’s solution, which has received FinOps Foundation certification, uses AI to analyze cost fluctuations, recommend optimizations, and automate resource adjustments to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
