Entertainment and technology updates: Star Wars, One Piece, and Wi-Fi 8

Various updates across the entertainment and technology sectors include a new Star Wars comic, ‘Star Wars: Rogue One — Darth Vader #1’, which expands on the character's portrayal from the 2016 film. In the anime and manga industry, the One Piece trading card game will feature a new design for the character Nami, illustrated by manga artist Kentaro Yabuki.

In television, The Apothecary Diaries continues its third season, with Episode 5 is scheduled for release this Friday. Meanwhile, the Critical Role franchise is set to release a new fiction novel, ‘Critical Role: The Mighty Nein—Children of the Empire’ by Nibedita Sen, on November 10, 2026.

Regarding consumer technology, reports suggest that while Wi-Fi 8 is approaching, users with Wi-Fi 5 routers may not need to upgrade immediately. Data indicates that median home internet speeds in the United States are often the primary limiting factor rather than router hardware capabilities.
