Entertainment destinations open in Saudi Arabia and Sharjah

New entertainment developments have launched in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. In Saudi Arabia, the SEVEN Abha Entertainment Destination has officially opened. As the first completed project under Saudi Entertainment Ventures’ nationwide program, the SAR 1.5 billion development covers over 91,000 m² and features themed public spaces and immersive experiences inspired by the Aseer region. Khatib & Alami served as the PMC Consultant, managing the design, procurement, and construction processes.

In the United Arab Emirates, Shamsa Entertainment City has opened in the Aljada community in Sharjah. Operating under the “Shamsa Festival” theme until September 5, the destination offers interactive zones including culinary workshops, creative craft studios, and an augmented reality play arena. The opening is part of a wider Sharjah summer campaign organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority to stimulate local retail and tourism.
