Pang Xiangling leaves TVB acting career to become full-time taxi driver

Former TVB actress Pang Xiangling has transitioned to a full-time career as a taxi driver following the conclusion of her nine-year acting career. Pang, who gained recognition for her roles in various productions including the supernatural program ‘Live Contact’, stated that her decision was a deliberate move to seek greater financial stability as her contract with the television station expired.

She reported that her new profession, which involves both street hailing and online ride-hailing platforms, provides a more consistent income than her previous work in the entertainment industry. After accounting for expenses such as fuel and vehicle rental, she earns a net daily income of over 2,000 HKD. Pang noted that this improved her quality of life, allowing her to move past the extreme frugality required during her time as an actress.

While she often wears a mask to maintain privacy while working, she remains open to interacting with fans who recognize her. She expressed that while her current priority is financial security, she remains open to returning to acting in the future should the opportunity arise.
