According to industry insider John Rocha, a writers' room has reportedly been assembled for the project, and Zack Snyder is being considered to direct the pilot episode. While not officially confirmed, the project aims to expand upon the world established by the 2006 film.

Separately, the action film 'In the Grey', directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, is set to premiere on Prime Video on August 21. Despite a disappointing theatrical run that earned only approximately $13 million, the film has seen early digital success, reaching the Top 10 on Prime Video in several markets including the United States, Mexico, and Brazil.
